(Nashville, TN – June 10, 2021) – Red Dirt Country Entertainer Jimmy Bowen just released his new single, "Sick and Tired." The toe-tappin' tune was written by veteran award-winning songwriters JP Pennington (Exile) and Jeff Stevens. It was produced by Bowen, Donnie Clark, and Curtis J and was mixed by Tony Cottrill. The song entered CD TEX's Top 10 Most Popular Broadcast Downloads the first week of its release and will be available through all streaming platforms and digital retailers Friday, June 11th. "Sick and Tired" is the perfect upbeat Country and Western song about getting over a love interest and moving on. It boasts an unforgettable melody guaranteed to have you singin' along while taking you on a trip down memory lane with its spot-on harmonies, steel guitar, and retro sound. "I love 'Sick and Tired.' Fun song, but the song is about a guy who has tried to get over his woman...and he is done. The storyline is true to life and relatable. It's centered on a relationship and the worry of what went wrong; you try to save it, but you can't. Then, you worry so much about it and finally wake up and say, 'That's it, I'm going to start living again and having fun," Bowen added.
Bowen will be the featured musical guest on RFD-TV's Larry's Country Diner airing on Thursday, June 10th at 8 p.m. EST and on Saturday, June 12th at 11 p.m. EST where he will perform his new single. Larry's Country Diner, a unique down-home variety show has become one of RFD-TV's most popular shows, garnering 1.4 million monthly viewers. It features regular characters including Larry Black, Keith Bilbrey, Sheriff Jimmy Capps, Waitress Renae, and Avid Church Lady Nadine along with special guest appearances by country music artists of yesterday and today.
Bowen is currently in Season 2 of his own live TV music series, Jimmy Bowen & Friends. Each season of the show hosted by Bowen consists of thirteen half-hour episodes featuring Bowen performing live with his band and a featured guest artist each week. It is syndicated nationwide and was produced by award-winning production company CJM Productions whose shows are broadcast in over 200 million homes in the USA as well as the UK and New Zealand. The star-studded lineup has featured multiple award-winning artists including Brady Seals, Deborah Allen, Jason Crabb, John Schneider, Linda Davis, Sonny LeMaire, and T. ABOUT JIMMY BOWEN
Jimmy Bowen is a highly acclaimed musician, singer, and songwriter from Charlotte, N.C. He became involved in music by age 5 and has been creating music for over three decades, touring internationally with some of the most well-known names in Bluegrass music including Charlie Waller and the Country Gentlemen and also David Parmley and the Continental Divide. He has had the opportunity to share the stage with country legends including Earl Thomas Conley, Eddie Raven, John Conley, Josh Turner, Little Jimmy Dickens, and Mel Tillis, and has even had the privilege to perform at the White House for President George W. Bush, Sr. and at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C.
